Know your patient's dental plan and its limitations.  Too many times a practitioner will promise the world to the patient  and have benefits denied because they fall outside the limitations of the plan.  Who loses?  The patient, who's expectations have been blown apart and the dentist who appears to be ignorant of that plan.
