Construction Team Spotlight: Buddie Nichols

Buddie joined the BAMily two years ago and currently serves as the Project Manager for BAM Construction. He’s been in the construction industry for two decades and has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.

Who inspired you to pursue the construction field and how did they inspire you?

I would have to say my father, being the jack of all trades as he was.?

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career??

Work hard and focus on your job. Learn as much as you can and take it upon yourself to apply it and learn more by doing so. Don’t worry about what others are or are not doing.

What’s your favorite part about working for The BAM Companies??

I enjoy the relationships that I have formed. I’m very appreciative of the cooperation from staff when we have a project on their site.

What’s your favorite project you’ve completed during your time at The BAM Companies??

It was one of our former communities, Pebble Brooke Village — specifically the exterior. Considering the size of our team, the scale of the project, and the timeline, I was pleased with that project.

How has your role evolved since you joined the team??

I’m learning more about the financial end of management. I get to contribute some to the decision-making process on how to improve our properties.?

What’s your favorite memory from your time so far at The BAM Companies??

That is a tough one. There is not a specific event. Honestly, I enjoy the camaraderie from day to day. The talks, the laughs and sometimes just the silliness make the day better.

What do you like to do in your free time??

I enjoy being outside, not that I necessarily do anything. Unfortunately for my children, I enjoy hanging out with them. I also like grabbing dinner with good friends.

What would your perfect weekend look like??

Relaxing on my patio, cleaning, and seeing my parents and/or kids. Maybe whipping up something good in the kitchen.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. 5.5/10
