GDABVI takes a whole-person approach to sight loss by meeting people where they are in their vision journey. We provide daily living skills, technology training, orientation and mobility, support groups, case management for basic needs, information and resources, and opportunities to socialize for blind and visually impaired individuals. Our programs foster independence, safety, and overall well-being across the lifespan. Our service area covers Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, Monroe, Washtenaw, and St. Clair counties.

GDABVI was honored to host its inaugural Holiday Gala on Saturday, December 2 at the Imperial House in Clinton Township. Priscilla Miley, CVRT, was our distinguished keynote speaker telling her story of "I may have lost my eyesight, but I have not lost my vision." Priscilla was truly inspiring! The evening included our wonderful guests and supporters, GDABVI staff and board members, and our emcee for the evening, Leslie Love. DJ Rick Love had the crowd up and dancing and having a great time on the dance floor. Funds generated from this event will support all the programs and resources the GDABVI provides free of charge to our clients.
