Construction of EFT’s Bileca solar power plant completed

Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Srpska (RS) Petar Djokic announced that the construction of a solar power plant in Bileca, a project developed by EFT, has been completed.

The Bileca solar power plant has an installed capacity of 60 MW and an estimated annual electricity production of 84 GWh. It consists of 113,184 solar panels, covering an area of 133 hectares.

The electricity from the solar power plant will be sold on the market, and the investment is estimated at over 53 million euros. EFT received a concession from the RS Government in 2020 for a period of 50 years, which includes a 3-year design and construction period and a 47-year operational period.

Minister Djokic also said that RS plans to build and commission 1,200 MW of new electricity generation capacities by 2030.
