Responding to Canada’s Urgent Housing Need with the opening of 403 Thompson Road. This four-storey apartment building offers a total of 44 affordable homes. It has been specifically designed to cater to the housing needs of marginalized groups, including Black Canadians, individuals facing homelessness or at risk of it, Indigenous Peoples, as well as women and their children seeking refuge from violence. The project was made possible through a collaborative effort led by EllisDon Community Builders, in partnership with the Housing Development Corporation, London (HDC London), under the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI).

The Portland Commons won the 2023 Green Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. This internationally recognized award acknowledges exceptional achievements in environmentally sustainable design and positive impacts on the global environment.? The Portland Commons will set a remarkable standard in Canada and globally as a sustainable, healthy workplace. It is designed to achieve LEED Zero Carbon, LEED Platinum, WELL Building Gold, and is already WiredScore Platinum and SmartScore Certified. EllisDon & Carlsun Energy brings the first hydrogen refuelling station to Ontario. Located at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. the station is being designed and developed by Carlsun Energy, an engineering and contracting leader focusing on large-scale renewable energy and hydrogen integration projects. This project is a vital first step in the direction of a clean energy future, and EllisDon is excited to be partnered with Carlsun, a true market leader. The station will provide fuel cell-grade hydrogen to light-duty and heavy transport vehicles.
