The Iron Triangle may not be the best metaphor for lean where you are focusing in on removing waste and therefore reducing time and cost and probably keeping scope constant. Keep in mind though that the other half of agile is the iterative approach where the time and cost are fixed and the team has only scope to adjust while maintaining quality.

I think you're right, Al: the triangle describes interdependencies, but those relationships are often more complex than linear sliders. I wish there was a way to represent the constraints of the triangle as movable nodes, where moving the node *impacts* or *distorts* the rest of the triangle without being over-specific about *how*. It's still useful as a metaphor, but there are probably better representations out there.

"that is, increasing one will increase the others" -- I think you meant to say "that is, DECREASING one will increase the others"
