Conspiracy theory

So hear me out, I have a crazy conspiracy theory. Before you think, Here we go again with another of these stupid theories, and you may be right, stupid people often don't realize they are stupid, I may be one of them. But for the sake of it, for fun, humor me.?

Here it goes: the sadder the population of a country, the higher the economic growth.?

Stay with me I'll explain.? The economy of a country works on trade and all the financial activities that occur.? In other words, the more people spend, the better it is for the economy. Think of the government as an organization -? it wants its customers to use more of its products so that the cash flow into it is higher. The more trade activities that occur the better the organization will perform.?

Now, think about it, whenever we are sad or feel depressed, some of us buy something to eat, mostly ice cream, or some other things to make us feel better. Some like to shop online, and some of us buy stuff we don't even need. I have a ton of action figures, toys, and games that I don't use. It's there for me to look at and feel better, I suppose. But the point is we all have something, maybe it is shoes or designer clothing or toys or exercise machines.?

Somewhere we try to find comfort in all these material things because no one taught us how to handle sadness any other way, plus its sometimes feels like the entire universe is after you to make you feel bad.?

If you are single, you will see couples' posts on social media, and being single can be a choice for some but lack of options for many. Before you know it, ads about dating apps start popping up before every youtube video.?

It is not just for relationships but for everything, if you want to lose weight, you will see exercise posts everywhere, and before you know it, Chris Hemsworth is selling you his fitness routine on youtube.?

We often dismiss it, thinking it is just a coincidence, some might even say when you start to work towards something you see it everywhere because you start focusing on similar things, which may be true but I am here to prove my conspiracy theory.?

So here is my theory, I believe, the government and organizations are creating an environment where people stay depressed so that they can flourish.?

Think about it, if you are happy and satisfied, why would you be concerned with someone else’s life? Why would you go on Instagram or Facebook to check what other people are doing in their life?

Why would you even consider buying a new product if you are satisfied with what you have? If you are happy with your car how would the car company sell you a new one? You have to be jealous of your neighbor, friend, or others' car to go out there and work like a slave to buy a car that gets you from point A to B like your previous car. And a car is not the only expense, with a car comes other expenses like gas, insurance, maintenance, etc. It is a whole industry.

Satisfaction in the modern world is a unicorn, that the global corporations and the government has hunted to extinction.

It is not that you don'?? want to be happy or you cant be satisfied, but no one wants you to be happy because it is bad for business.

Google Easterlin Paradox, what I could interpret from my research is, that if you give money to the poor and raise the standard of living, they will still not be happy because now that everyone’s standard of living has improved, and standard of living is higher than before.?

For example, the Internet was a luxury a few years back, only a few people had access, then some people had access and now it is a basic necessity.?

So my theory concludes that the environment we live in, the society, and everything in between that we interact with wants you to be depressed. If you are healthy, how will the treatment sell?

If there is no problem to solve, the problem solvers will be unemployed, so why not invent a problem?

No one is thinking about you, no one is thinking about your happiness or wellbeing, you have to take initiative and work towards being happy. And I say work because it is like you are a fish swimming in the opposite direction of the current, while fishermen on the shore are trying to kill you. Nothing except nature is on your side, so try to spend more time in nature away from the web and in the forest.?

Or the problem is people try to find happiness instead of embracing life. Humans in general are sold on the lie of satisfaction and happiness which is an end goal. No one finds happiness and just stays happy. We are all on a journey of growth and suffering, to live is to suffer, and if happiness comes along every now and then, then we should be grateful.

But it can also be a fool's imagination, crazy conspiracy theorist’s delusions, but at least I am happy with my delusions.
