Consistency is one of those things that gets a little misunderstood in the online space, and can get confused with its cousin (sister?) frequency.?

Consistency isn't what you think it is!
As a copywriter who's worked with 100's of industries and too many individual business owners to count, I've found the concept of consistency to be widely misunderstood.
In addition to a few other unfortunate myths of the online world, this podcast episode of Content with Character aims to clear up the confusion between consistency and frequency.
Contrary to popular belief, consistency is not about posting MORE, or increasing your output each day.

Consistency is found through quality content, reliability, staying aligned with your brand values and brand voice. It has nothing to do with speed and pace and it doesn't mean you need to show up every day.
Consistency looks different for every business and individual. It has to go hand in hand with manageable frequencies you choose for yourself.
Consistency is a layered part of your business and includes how you show up in your messaging, branding, networking and beyond! It's up to YOU to choose how committed you want to be in each of those areas and how frequently/how much you want to show up.
Rather than trying to match others' frequencies, I recommend choosing marketing tasks you can reasonably commit to on a regular basis.
Define "consistent" based on your capacity, not comparison to others.
Consistency is a slow, daily, sustainable amble, walk, and sometimes even a jog. But it's not a quick sprint to burnout.
Focus on quality vs. quantity and consistency vs. frequency as you build trust and familiarity at a steady, manageable pace.
Consistency is what allows your message to truly sink in over time.
I hope reframing consistency provides a more balanced approach to marketing efforts.
