Consistency

As Simon Sinek and many other motivational speakers talk about, consistency is key. During the pandemic, I ended up gaining too much weight. I was bored, my kickboxing gym was closed, and I found it difficult to motivate myself to walk every day. Aside from working and watching Netflix, there was not a whole lot to do.

I was reminded this past week, as I facilitated STEPS, that to take on any challenge, whether it is weight loss, finding a job, eating better, saving money or anything you want to do, that the key is consistency.

Small steps help. Break it down into small bites.

As the pandemic progressed, we started doing shadow boxing in the park, but it was not as fun without the bags. Finally, a member of our group offered the parking lot of his church and we were able to use the bags.

Whatever your goal may be, start out small, work hard and if you get off track, pick it back up the next day.

A little bit can add up to a lot. I am happy to say my clothes finally fit again. Stay the course, stay focused and most importantly, Never Give UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
