Consistency, I know right :-)
Every time someone hears that I work out or sees me at the gym, their first question is why? What weight do you want to lose? ??
I am, however, quick to respond that it is not about the weight but rather to keep fit. Then I go ahead and remind myself inwardly on my why. I use it as a selfcare routine and as a way to keep my mind on an 'I can do it' mentality.
After having two young children, I have developed and I am still perfecting this newly learnt activity, that I proudly say is my 'me' time ritual. At the gym, I am just a lady trying to keep her mind positive to get through a session.
Over time, however, keeping up with the routine has felt more like a forced chore. This is because there is so much to do and there are added responsibilities along the way, that there is left little or no time for the gym.
When am unable to manage gym hours, I sometimes get home exercises done, just to try and maintain the momentum, but when I get the chance, wearing my gym attire and grabbing my water bottle and gloves is such an underrated moment of triumph. I don’t take this for granted.
These actions are so profound that they open my mind to thinking positive vibes, thus, pushing my body to do what needs to be done at the gym. Anybody who works out can attest that after the pain and torture we put ourselves through, there is such a relief, excitement and a? sense of achievement when done. ?
This motivation is then extended to my days’ activities where I go on with an 'I can do it' attitude.

Anyway, just like going to the gym to achieve that perfect body size, or for whatever reason you attach the act to, needs consistency and the right mindset, so does everything else in life.
We need that willingness to push and push until we get a routine that works and make it consistent enough to see outcomes. It doesn’t have to be perfect but it can be small steps towards the right direction.
As Holly Moiser puts it “Perfection of effort is not required, by the way. It is the consistency of attempting to work these tools that brings the progress. It is like anything else. If I want to tone muscle, lifting a ten-pound weight a few times every day will move me towards my goal much quicker than hoisting a fifty- pound barbell once a week. Yes, it really is true; “Slow and steady wins the race” Just try a little, every day. You’ll see”
Slow and steady, consistent steps is all you need in that business, at work, as a mother or a father, as one just starting their career, as a couple that just got married and is navigating their new family life.
Whatever situation you find yourself in, you need to accord yourself some grace and assure yourself that you are capable of moving from point A to B. That goes a long way in nurturing a consistent lifestyle that contributes to a successful one too.
Cheers as you garner consistent steps
