1.     Analyze the problem from various viewpoints

2.    Consider all the issues

3.    Are there possible alternatives?

4.    What are the pluses and minuses of the options?

5.    What is company policy on the matter?

6.    What about the law?

7.     Any past precedents?

8.    What are the right questions?

9.    Will the final solution stand up to the “Test of Time”?

10. After considering all the above “What is the right thing to do?
