On April 2, 2023, teachers and students of the Department of Ecology and the Department of Geology and Oil and Gas Affairs, with the involvement of students of ecologists from the Mining-metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan, showed great interest and activity in environmental action, which was organized in honor of Earth Day.
As part of the campaign, students planted a lot of seedlings of various trees and also conducted a tour of the wetlands in order to familiarize themselves with the biodiversity of this area.
The participation of students in this action was an important step in the conservation of nature and biodiversity of the region. Such actions help to draw public attention to environmental issues and form an ecological culture in society.
Organization YGPE - Youth Group for the Environment, plays an important role in the conservation of biodiversity in the area. This organization is focused on attracting young people to participate in projects to protect nature and develop an environmental culture in society.
The YGPE Local Biodiversity Conservation Project aims to improve the state of natural resources and preserve unique animal and plant species. The organization actively conducts various events, including campaigns for planting seedlings and cleaning up territories from garbage, and conducts educational lectures and excursions.
The joint work of the YGPE youth group and MMIT helps to draw public attention to the problems of biodiversity conservation and also forms an ecological culture in society. The implementation of this biodiversity conservation project in this area will have a long-term effect on improving the state of nature and preserving unique ecosystems.
