THE CONSEQUENCES OF NOT LEARNING
Learning is an opportunity, not a threat!
"Learning how to learn" is one of the key non-technological competencies that has a great significance/influence on all other key non-technological competencies.
If there is no learning or it is ineffective - we will not acquire other key non-technological competencies either.
What does it mean not to acquire the knowledge, skills and behaviours that we lack? Here are just some of the consequences of not learning:
● Being unprepared for new events,
● Not being recognized by others as an expert,
● Not understanding the problem,
● Not having the opportunity to teach others,
● Dependence on others to explain to us what we should know ourselves,
● We make mistakes in action due to lack of knowledge,
● We are not interesting to others through partner relationships,
● Others consider us uninterested and irresponsible,
● We set a bad example to the environment (colleagues, subordinates, partners, friends, family, ...), ● The longer we delay, the harder it is to engage in active learning,
● We deny ourselves the opportunity to advance,
● Not being in the technological trend,
● Don't step ahead of others,
● We become a brake, not a driver,
● Resistance to learning initiates other resistances to changes,
● We tell others that we know things as a justification for the absence of learning that does not correspond to the truth, and thus we act unconvincingly towards others,
● We avoid and do not participate in discussions where development, trends, innovations, achievements, ..., are discussed.
● We avoid activities in order not to establish our lack of knowledge,
● We avoid development activities because it puts us in a position of incompetence in the eyes of others.
● We avoid those who know more than us,
● We become experts in justifications, not solutions,
● We do not have the necessary competencies for a good leader,
● Rarely does anyone need us to help him.
?
Resistance to learning is not rational and permissible if we truly want a successful career.
On the contrary, let's become a proactive person who bases our actions on new knowledge, skills and behaviours.
?
CALL TO ACTION
1. Determine your attitude towards learning (resistance, sometimes or proactive).
2. Determine if you are satisfied with how you study.
3. Define the necessary activities to make your learning more effective.
4. Measure achievements.
5. Enjoy learning results.
?
CONCLUSION
Lifelong learning should be our second occupation.
Anyone who does not learn continuously and systematically has no chance of being recognized as a personal brand in the current time of rapid changes.
"Learning how to learn" is a skill that must be learned and practised daily.
There are no naturally talented individuals who are learning experts.
Any failure to learn key non-technological competencies will result in achievements far below potential, needs and desires.

MUE - Model of Universal Excellence
1 个月In the traditional education system, no one teaches us how to learn effectively. That is why improvisation is the dominant way of learning. Improvisation in the learning process creates numerous problems. Outcomes are the failures of individuals in life and business because they learn ineffectively or do not learn at all because they do not know how to do it. There is no greater paradox that in school we are not taught how to learn effectively.
