It was during the conception of the Life Enterprise Approach to Prosperity (LEAP) that I first introduced the definition of Conscious Providership, which centers on understanding and fulfilling the needs of your stakeholders as a means to create value and foster positive relationships within your Life Enterprise.
This idea can be compared to, intertwined with, or even considered an expansion of the Judeo-Christian concepts of "Love Your Neighbor as You Love Yourself" (Leviticus 19:18) and "Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You" (Matthew 7:12).
In this post, I explore how providership aligns with and enhances these well-known principles, offering a deeper understanding of what loving and serving others can look like.
Providership and "Love Your Neighbor as You Love Yourself"
The LEAP concept of providership encourages individuals to take responsibility for meeting the needs of their "stakeholders," which include family, friends, colleagues, and even the environment. By understanding and addressing the six human needs (certainty, variety, significance, connection/love, growth, and contribution), conscious providers can create value and strengthen relationships.
This concept aligns with the Judeo-Christian commandment to "Love Your Neighbor as You Love Yourself." By seeking to understand and fulfill the needs of others, providers are practicing love and compassion towards their neighbors. They prioritize the well-being and growth of those around them, just as they would for themselves.
Providership and "Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You"
The Golden Rule, "Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You," emphasizes the importance of treating others with kindness, respect, and fairness, just as you would like to be treated. Providership naturally aligns with this principle, as it encourages individuals to act in the best interests of their stakeholders, considering their needs and desires the same way they would consider their own.
By adopting a providership mindset, individuals actively seek to create positive experiences and outcomes for others, striving to improve their lives and well-being. This approach embodies the spirit of the Golden Rule, promoting empathy, understanding, and ethical actions in both personal and professional relationships.

Expanding on Judeo-Christian Values
While the concepts of "Love Your Neighbor as You Love Yourself" and "Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You" provide a strong foundation for ethical behavior and compassionate living, conscious providership offers a more comprehensive framework for modern life.
Conscious Providership not only emphasizes the importance of understanding and fulfilling the needs of others but also considers the long-term impact of our actions on the environment and society as a whole.
By integrating providership into the practice of these Judeo-Christian values, individuals can cultivate a more holistic approach to loving and serving others, considering the complexity and interconnectedness of our world today.
This approach encourages personal growth, sustainability, and responsible decision-making, resulting in a more balanced and fulfilling life.
By practicing providership, individuals can deepen their understanding of loving and serving others, fostering positive relationships, and creating lasting value in a modern context.
This approach not only supports personal growth and well-being but also promotes ethical, responsible, and sustainable actions that contribute to a better world for all.
