What is Google Search Generative Experience, and how will it affect law firms?

A recent Google update was the Search Generative Experience (SGE), which our Head of SEO, Jamie Stevens discusses in this blog post.

SGE refers to the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms in Google Search to generate relevant, engaging, and contextualised content, and it is likely to have the most significant impact on informational search queries. Organic search results are unlikely to disappear, but they may become less prominent, especially for informational queries.?

However, Google will be extremely cautious about offering AI-generated advice on legal topics, so results may not change as much for the legal sector as other sectors where there is less risk of false information causing serious problems. But it is something to stay aware of.

This blog post is for: Those who want to understand the SGE more and how it might affect law firms and local SEO.

Why is user experience (UX) important in paid advertising for law firms?

If your firm is running paid advertising campaigns, how much thought have you given to your campaign's landing page user experience? If the answer is “not a lot”, then this is something you should read.

When users click on a PPC ad, they expect to be directed to a relevant and user-friendly landing page that provides the information or service they were searching for. If the landing page fails to meet their expectations, users will quickly leave, resulting in wasted ad spend and missed opportunities for your law firm. PPC Executive Owen G. discusses why user experience is essential and how to create an optimised landing page in this blog post.

This blog post is for: Law firms running paid advertising campaigns but might not see the results they’d like.
