Conquering Procrastination: Achieving more than I thought was possible

Conquering Procrastination: Achieving more than I thought was possible

"We all have that one task that we dread doing." -Aakash Mandhar

We all have that one task that we dread doing. For me, it was creating and publishing videos on YouTube. The day I set the goal to publish four videos, I found myself procrastinating and tempted to do lower value tasks to keep myself busy, instead of working on the video. I had not even brainstormed any ideas and the amount of work felt overwhelming; I had to pick an idea, write a script, record the video, edit the video, write a description, design a thumbnail, and then publish the video.

But I recently read the book "Eat That Frog" and decided to make the video my topmost priority. I focused single-mindedly on it, planned it, and broke it into smaller chunks. To my surprise, before the end of the day, the video was done and published. Not only was the video done, but it also gave a boost to my confidence and built up momentum for me.

I learned a lot along the way and am excited to make my learnings compound. I want to encourage you to not let the big tasks you dread doing weigh you down. Make it a priority, focus single-mindedly on it, plan it, and break it into smaller chunks, and get to work! You will be surprised with what you can achieve.

In the week that has passed since then, I have created a second video and a YouTube Short too. They are linked below for your watching pleasure. If you would like to grab a copy of the "Eat That Frog" book, here is a link.

Don't let procrastination hold you back from achieving your goals. Take that first step and start conquering your to-do list today!

Below is the video I referenced in this article.

This is the second video I created.

Needless to say, do like and subscribe.

And if have a task that you dread, or are struggling to complete everything you want to get done, do yourself a favor and get the book.
