Conquer your fear

I have always been a good student(at least that's what my teachers used to say during the meetings) and used to perform well in all the subjects.
But if there was one subject which used to bother me, well that was Mathematics.
I used to really get stressed by thinking the reasons behind not being able to perform well in that(though somehow, I used to pass, but that was not sufficient).
Time kept on passing and so was I in the exams.
But now, it was the ninth standard(time to get serious) and somehow, I just cleared the mid-semester exam by 1 mark.
That was the day I felt really afraid for the first time(till then I have never passed any exam, with that less margin).
I made a promise to myself that one day I am going to conquer this.
But the big question was how?
So, I thought of connecting with my friends who were good at that.
I worked with them, asking them for help whenever required, came up with the solutions and I passed my ninth and tenth standard exams with a great margin and somehow fell in love with the subject.
But now, it was the time for the finale(11th and 12th standard).
Like most of the students, I started going for coaching after my school(to clear my doubts and do some extra practice)
As the days were passing by, my love for Mathematics kept on increasing.
I started working really hard without even thinking about the results.
And finally it was exam time(12th boards).
I went to the examination hall, filled out the basic details, took the question paper, and started solving the problems.
That day it was pure magic.
Whatever question I was solving, somehow I was able to reach a final solution, although, I didn't know whether it was right or wrong.
I just kept on solving, but it was times up, I couldn't solve one 6 marks question and didn't get a chance to revise my exam.
But that was fine.
I came back home with high hopes.
After a few months, results were announced.
When I saw the result, there were tears of happiness in my eyes.
I know it's hard to believe, but I scored 94/100 in Mathematics.
We had a lot of celebrations and today when I look back I am really proud of that!!
So, that was a small part of my story when I conquered my fear!!
I hope it will motivate someone!!
