The Prairie Farmstead, opening in Spring of 2018 in south Overland Park, KS, offers plentiful opportunities for people living with dementia to make connections. At all of our Prairie Elder Care residences, we work hard to build a foundation of control for our residents. Once the foundation of control is firmly in place, residents are able to look beyond themselves and their immediate needs and create connections with other residents, animals, our care partners and their own loved ones. The Prairie Farmstead offers a one of a kind setting where residents have opportunities to connect and interact with animals, plants, hobbies, and past interests in an ongoing and purposeful way. Our mission of giving back community, connection and control to our residenst will truly come to life at The Farmstead! Stay tuned for more information regarding The Prairie Farmstead, and more about our engagment model focused on giving back community, connection and control.
