I was tempted not to go, but I am so happy I did as I was welcomed with open arms (literally - and hugs too!). I walked into the room to meet a group I didn't know and immediately felt welcomed, like we were already friends. ?We’ve been noticing lately that we are carrying around old stories."Any gathering in person is networking" or, "We overdid it in zoom calls, so all zoom calls are depleting".It feels like it might be time to release our old stories and take a deeper look at what really happens when we gather or when we join a call to unlearn something together.?If you’ve been in the community for a while you are likely used to the way we greet one another and welcome new souls like they are old friends. This is by design and part of our credo and our culture. These events are not “networking” events but moments of connection, meeting one another with an open heart, and getting to know one another so we can participate in each other’s stories and journeys – giving and receiving gifts, together, in the spirit of reciprocity. ?

If you haven’t been connecting with others from the community you might want to update your story and remember that when we meet in a community salon, a lunch club, a walk, or an online community call we do so in order to experience that all around us are people who care, who have our back, who, even when we don’t know them well, are here to accept us as we are and witness our journey.?Come and bring your whole self to whatever event calls you .
