Connecting is Leader's Responsibility

In every walk of life, we need to connect with others. While connecting itself is a skill & can be learned, most of the time people think, "making" that connection is the responsibility of the people below them.

For example, in a work environment, superiors may think connecting to them is their reportee's job, but in actuality, its the leader's responsibility.

In a home setting, if I think I am the leader of the house, its my responsibility to make the effort to connect with my spouse, children & even parents.

In a social gathering, I have noticed people who take the initiative to make connections with others are usually referred to as leaders.
