One of the world’s leading mental health and substance use advocates, politician Patrick Kennedy discusses what he believes needs to change in order to de-stigmatize substance use and mental health care in this episode of the What Unites Us podcast. “If were were to intervene earlier,” says Patrick, “there wouldn’t be stigma. If we reached in earlier and didn’t wait for it to become a diagnosis…we can permanently change the trajectory of people’s disability.”

September 6th is #NationalFoodBankDay. These critical organizations not only provide nourishment to those in need but also often connect them to other social services.

Later that day, she will also participate in the panel, “Seizing Opportunities in the Value-Based Care Evolution,” where she’ll cover innovative strategies and approaches unlocked by value-based reimbursement models.

?? New Jersey Community Health Workers Hub Surpasses DOH Grant Target by 120% Leveraging Unite Us
In just nine months, Acenda Integrated Health -led New Jersey Community Health Workers (CHW) Hub, powered by Unite Us , exceeded its NJ Department of Health (NJDOH) grant goal by 120%. With 21 dedicated health workers on the ground, the Hub achieved a 75% resolution rate for cases across 10 counties, tackling critical needs like food insecurity and housing. This success highlights the Hub's incredible impact on community health and shows how Unite Us technology makes it easier to connect people with the care and support they need.
