Credit unions are unique in many ways. They are not special in that running a business is hard. During my 24 years in credit unions, I’ve had many hallway conversations with other business partners about some areas in which we see credit unions (in general, certainly not every single one) needing improvement or assistance. Of course, we also have a financially vested interest in credit unions surviving, and many of us genuinely care – we’re not just selling widgets.
