XChange 2021: Connecting to Close the Innovation Gap

I recently returned from XChange in San Antonio and it was so invigorating to reconnect in-person with colleagues, peers, partners and the folks from The Channel Company. The event provided the perfect opportunity to talk about how technology has evolved over the last year or two, and to discuss what factors are pushing the business technology landscape forward. One big takeaway from the event was crystal clear: the advent of emerging and leading technologies – like Cloud Infrastructure, IoT & Analytics, Apps & Mobile Technology, and Integration/Automation – is creating a data rich business landscape.

?Here’s what I mean: Currently, there are close to 25 billion (billion with a B!) connected devices and that number is expected grow to 41 billion by the year 2027. According to Forrester, there are roughly 100,000 software companies around the globe and that number is expected to grow to close to 1 million by 2030. Most of the “new” software companies are built on the API economy and there is a dire need for integration (cloud, on-premise, and hybrid).

?When cultivated properly, these data-generating, data processing and data analysis technologies usher in a new age of business innovation and create an unprecedented growth opportunity. These technologies are changing the business landscape by asking organizations to be innovative to survive and truly capture newly created, data-driven value. The challenge I’ve heard again and again, though, is that?business leaders are not satisfied with the state of their innovation performance?because there is a lack of “know-how” in the market. However, with support from partners and our Software AG products,?we can close that innovation gap!

?Software AG is prepared to assist our partners with the help of our?CRN recognized Five Star Partner Program.?Our program is built on 4 fundamental pillars:

  • Trust:?We have a strict a code of business conduct based on ethics and integrity that we strive to achieve at a very high level to build, retain, and grow our mutual trust.
  • Predictable and Consistent Profitability: By executing more business via an ARR or Subscription based model, we introduce more forecastable metrics in terms of revenue and plan for partners and their customer needs.
  • Mutual Benefits: Any good program should have a good win+win+win situation for all three parties (the customer, the partner, and the business). We take equal responsibility in creating and sharing value with our customers.?
  • Clear Rules of Engagement: To provide the partner with the best experience possible, we have defined clear rules of engagement via program fundamentals such as Deal Registration, which will aid in achieving more stability in the sales process and reducing channel conflict.?

?The goal of our partner program is to have an easy and frictionless entry point to fast-track access to pre-defined and pre-prepared demo and marketing materials for a resell and co-sell engagement model.

By increasing the commitment with further enablement, a business plan, and a jointly financed Marketing Development Fund (MDF), every partner can enter the Premier Partner tier to also get full access to software for build or implementation services. A highly automated infrastructure puts the partner experience first, with self centrally located Partner Hub – our one stop-shop for all partnering needs.?
