This week we've been looking at connected vehicles, seen by many to be the future of the industry. Connected vehicles can 'communicate' with other vehicles on the road, sharing important safety and traffic information. They can also connect with devices within the vehicle, allowing for ADAS and infotainment services to improve the driver experience.
As connected vehicles become more common, cybersecurity issues will inevitably arise. 100 leaders in the connected car industry were surveyed, and these were their biggest concerns for the industry:
With connected vehicles comes greater opportunity for in-car entertainment and 'infotainment'. But what will this look like moving forward? Will Netflix become common-place in cars?
Lastly, internet and connectivity within vehicles can be disrupted by outside factors. This is particularly the case with electric vehicle chargers, which can produce electromagnetic interference...

Tesla vehicle prices are being slashed in China due to increased competition from Chinese firms. Prices are being reduced by up to 9% in order to be able to compete with the large Chinese competitors such as BYD.

A draft EU law has drawn criticism from environmental campaigners, who believe it not to be harsh enough on pollution. The so-called 'Euro 7' standards appear to be watering down proposed pollution rules in favour of the car industry.
Reports have suggested that the iconic Ford Fiesta may be discontinued next year as it won't be getting an electric successor (something Ford are very much pushing for with most of their models). The Fiesta's popularity has fallen in recent years. These reports have not been confirmed by Ford.
