Connect with Tippie Talent this Spring
Hello from the University of Iowa, Tippie College of Business!
Our students have completed a fall semester like no other, are now back to classes, and are eager to move toward their next chapter, whether that’s a summer internship or full-time role. We realize that many organizations are still determining how and when to bring employees back to the office safely, but whether you’ll be working in-person or remotely in May, our master’s students are prepared to apply their skills and make important contributions to your business.
Please read on for information about posting jobs and internships, connecting with our students, and program updates.
I wish you all good health and endurance as we persevere toward a fall when we can hopefully gather in person again.

COVID-19 and the Impact on Summer Internships
Last April we reached out to ask how your companies were responding to COVID-19, especially as it related to summer internships. Everyone who replied made some modifications, with most employers shifting to a virtual, sometimes abbreviated, internship.
As we look to summer, we realize there is uncertainty and you’re likely still deciding what format to use for your internship or planning two internships simultaneous: one in-person and a virtual as backup. This is a significant amount of work, and we want to thank you for your commitment to creating a valuable and safe learning experience for students. If you have questions about how to maximize a virtual internship experience, please send me an email. I’d be happy to share some of what our students found most valuable last summer.
Amy Kristof-Brown Named New Dean of Tippie
I’m delighted to share that Amy Kristof-Brown, senior associate dean and professor, has been named the new dean of the Tippie College of Business. Since joining the Tippie faculty as an assistant professor in the Department of Management and Organizations in 1997, Kristof-Brown has served in numerous roles including director of the department’s graduate studies and department executive officer. She was named senior associate dean of the college in 2017.
Kristof-Brown has served as interim dean since March 2020 and has provided caring and visionary leadership as we’ve navigated the difficulties of COVID-19. She is committed to the people of Tippie – our students, faculty, staff, and partners – and we are excited to have her as our next leader.
