Connect Site and Office with Issues, Forms and Photos

Again, cloud collaboration tools need to comply with information requirements and functionality to serve as the central repository that will hold key documents, comments and information exchange between the different project stakeholders.?

Visual assets like Photos (Traditional and 360) and Videos are commonly used to track progress in today’s construction projects.

Like that saying, “An image can say more than a thousand words.” Therefore, how can we make sure we gather, filter and report on key data from those visual assets?

Now, let’s start with some questions to brainstorm about current project status:

• How many photos and videos do you store in your projects?
• How do you share them with others for communication and issue resolution purposes?
• Can you assign a specific issue to a responsible party that also contains a photo or video?
• Can you reference existing project issues to forms, RFIs, and other elements of your Common Data Environment (CDE)??

MANUAL TAGS vs AUTOTAGS

Working with Site photos and sorting them in the best possible way starts with asking the question: which items or categories are relevant to my project? That will guide the team for assigning the required project Tags.

In Autodesk Build, you can currently combine manual tags with Autotags. Autotags use machine learning to identify and tag certain project items in the following categories: Site, Concrete, Framing, MEP Systems, Electrical, Plumbing Fixtures, Fire Protection, Openings, Finishes among others.
