Connect to accelerate: 1000 ENGIE change makers gathered to share, engage and work!
What days! What two beautiful days we spent together with 1000 change makers from the group, they came from all over the world to attend our Leadership Event! Thank you for these moments of sharing, inspiration, emotion and work.
The 1000 employees gathered at the Cité du Cinéma in Saint-Denis yesterday and today, the thousands of collaborators who followed the event via web-tv are my energy, a green energy of course! They are the strength of the group! My contacts all over the world tell me: what ENGIE's employees do and build on a daily basis is exceptional.
These two days of work have allowed us to make full use of the collective intelligence of ENGIE's employees. From all the business units, from all the countries where we are present, from all the areas of expertise, they confronted their ideas to accelerate growth, to disseminate the most efficient and innovative business models, to scale up. Today, being a successful company means defining a new leadership, a leadership that inspires and contributes to tackle the challenges of the day.
We enjoyed hearing Jeremy Rifkin, Paul Polman, Navi Rajou draw perspectives on the new world that is emerging and the role that pioneering companies like ENGIE can play in it. We heard words that are already familiar to ENGIE employees: sustainable development, sufficiency, efficiency, circularity.
We can be proud of what we have achieved and what we are accomplishing.
Through energy, we are changing people's lives, defining a new business model and even capitalism itseld. Starting with People and Planet and therefore create Profit. After the 3Ds of the new energy world, decentralized, digitalized, decarbonized, which had inspired our transformation plan, we now think of the 3Ps: Planet, People, Profit.
Understanding before others what the new world will be like allows us to create value faster and stronger for our shareholders, customers, employees and all our stakeholders.
Personally, after these two days, I have never been prouder and more confident in our company and its employees.
