I have strived to grow and develop throughout my professional career so far and it has led to me forming a strong passion for women in leadership and how it can truly innovate and drive a workplace forward. As women, we may not always realize our full potential, but once it is unleashed, it has a direct route to our success! When women become leaders, we provide a different set of skills and imaginative perspectives which drive effective solutions. CONMED believes in the power of engaged talent, and we are fortunate to have many amazing female leaders supporting our organization. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what has contributed to your success so far at CONMED?
I am naturally energized by helping people and the ability to make a difference by strategizing ways to positively impact important areas such as culture, processes, career advancement, and communication.
During my time with CONMED, I have been fortunate to have held multiple roles, supporting various teams and business units. I believe this has shaped my success because it has allowed me the unique ability to network and learn from so many talented people throughout the globe.
CONMED is also a strengths-focused organization. They empower me to utilize my individual strengths to then bring out my best performance.
As a female leader, what has been the most significant barrier in your career?
As a highly motivated individual at a growing company in a fast-paced work environment, a personal challenge of mine is balancing work and personal life.
What advice would you give the next generation of female leaders?
Follow your passion and go for what you believe in, without hesitation. Be willing to put in the work, receive criticism and don’t give up. Lead with confidence and avoid arrogance.
