Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 National Architecture Awards!

Buildings that win National Architecture Awards are at the pinnacle of Australian design – and Think Brick Australia was thrilled to see so much high-quality masonry showcased this year.

We were particularly proud to see several standout projects that impressed the juries of the Think Brick Awards over the past two years take out the nation’s top honours.

The vision and creativity that went into creating this line-up of award-winning and highly commended buildings deserves to be celebrated.

Curl Curl House by TRIAS received a High Commendation in Think Brick Australia’s Horbury Hunt Residential and New Entrant Award 2022 categories, and went on to receive a National Award Residential Architecture – Houses (New) at the 2022 National Architecture Awards.

Jimmy’s House – MJA Studio with Studio Roam and Iota was a Horbury Hunt Award 2022 entrant that has also won a National Award Residential Architecture – Houses (New) at the 2022 National Architecture Awards.

Quay Quarter Lanes – 8 Loftus Street – Studio Bright – received a High Commendation in our Horbury Hunt Commercial 2022 category and has now won The Frederick Romberg Award for Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing.

52 Reservoir Street – SJB – won The Harry Seidler Award for Commercial Architecture after receiving a High Commendation in Think Brick’s Horbury Hunt Commercial 2022 category.

The Hütt 01 Passivhaus – Melbourne Design Studios (MDS) – won a Sustainable Architecture National Award after receiving a High Commendation in Think Brick’s Bruce Mackenzie Landscape Awards 2022 category.

Quay Quarter Lanes – SJB, Silvester Fuller , Studio Bright, Carter Williamson, Lippmann Partnership and ASPECT Studios – won The Walter Burley Griffin Award for Urban Design. SJB, Silvester Fuller and Studio Bright were all entrants in the Horbury Hunt Commercial category of this year’s Think Brick Awards for their projects within this award-winning precinct.

Newcastle East End – SJB in collaboration with Durbach Block Jaggers , Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Greer and Aspect Studios received a National Commendation for Urban Design and a High Commendation in Think Brick’s Horbury Hunt Commercial Award 2021.

Kings Langley Cricket Club and Amenities – Eoghan Lewis Architects was entered into Think Brick’s Horbury Hunt Commercial category in 2021 and has now received a National Commendation for Public Architecture.
