RUBIQ is an all-encompassing, cloud-based, SaaS (Software as a Service) Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Solution, further supported by advisory and managed services. This innovative platform uses the very latest technologies to deliver a unique, comprehensive and dynamic GRC management system.

Although RUBIQ is a proudly South African company, the system can be used in any organisation, anywhere in the world. One of the things that makes it so great is that it’s extremely affordable, so it’s ideal for organisations of all sizes.

The award is extremely prestigious, as IRMSA is recognised as the professional body for Risk Management in South Africa by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

It represents individuals and companies committed to the enhancement of the Risk Management discipline, and serves aspiring risk practitioners, risk professionals and decision makers in Southern Africa.

The organisation is dedicated to the advancement of the risk management profession through accreditation, research, promotion, education, upliftment, training, guidance and strong relationships with other institutes or associations.

Its committees have constantly acknowledged its role as custodians of best Risk Management practice, and its deep responsibility to develop those in the industry.

Why RUBIQ?

There are many reasons why RUBIQ won this prestigious award, but probably one of the most important is because they have a true and deep understanding of what the biggest risks are that contribute to failures in deployment in governance, risk and compliance strategies within organisations. Their approach combines technology, advisory, content and tools to deliver truly ‘fit-for-purpose’ solutions, based on the latest and most effective practices in risk management, compliance and governance.

Their execution of extensive maturity assessments across South African organisations, as well as the implementation of integrated risk management solutions into many medium, large and enterprise, has provided significant insights and specialist knowledge into the nature of risks, their causes, likelihood and impacts, as well as the most appropriate methodologies. This deep knowledge and insights are what differentiates them from others in the field.

They also take a holistic and integrated approach to GRC, instead of examining the business in silos.

By streamlining the information gathering process, making timely decisions that align with an organisations’ business objectives, and developing an integrated approach to managing risks, they are able to deliver actionable, relevant insights that empower informed decision making.

Ultimately, businesses that follow their protocols will experience less fraud – and consequently less loss and risk.

The RUBIQ solution is transparent, holistic, compliant and makes a positive impact on an organisation’s bottom line.

Why Is This So Important For Business?

The GRC landscape has changed dramatically over the last 10 years, driving demand for far more automated and innovative ways of determining and effectively managing risk.

Generally speaking, however, organisational risk maturity is not evolving as it should. RUBIQ has found that too many organisations still rely on Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.

They have also sadly seen many of the organisations that invested in Risk and GRC-related technologies later discard the software systems and revert to Excel spreadsheets because those system were too cumbersome, too complex, light on content and advisory, and too expensive.

This is a stark reminder that the GRC industry as a whole is struggling to get the subject matter, technology, strategy and data integration aspects right.

As a result, many of these systems are unable to show return on investment for the client, who is then unable to support risk management as an integrated and core business function.

This general lack of buy-in from businesses makes it difficult to demonstrate value and ROI at Exco and Board Levels.

The RUBIQ Platform ‘GRC Maturity Initiative’ sets out to develop and introduce a smart strategy, integrated with advanced technology, to solve this challenge.

The result?

A platform that empowers businesses to demonstrate to the board and other stakeholders how much value Risk Management can add to the organisation when workable methods are applied.

So How Does It Work?

The system works in several stages:

1.     Assisted Risk and Compliance Obligations Identification

Identify critical obstacles and risks and receive expert advice directly within the platform to prevent disaster, business interruption and crisis.

2.     Action Plan and Task Management

Quickly and easily track assigned tasks and corrective actions to get you back on the right path.

3.     Performance and Monitoring

Get rich and meaningful indicators and insights into your business performance, highlighting where process non-conformance, disruption, employee negligence and more are costing your business.

4.     Information Security

Assurance that all data and documents are 100% safe-guarded from hackers.

5.     Business Continuity Management

Tailor the unique components of your company to receive the ISO 22301 business continuity management certification.

6.     Information Privacy

Gain further insight and guidelines on implementing the latest and most relevant privacy regulations.

7.     Enterprise Compliance

Structure, automate, and define compliance procedures that are comparable with international standards.

The aim of the RUBIQ system is to provide an innovative GRC approach that touches employees throughout every level, helping them see the real value that Risk Management has in supporting success.

As one of their proud partners, we are confident this will change the industry in time, helping to empower a proactive and informed leadership with everything they need to make the right decisions.
