Congratulations Rosalyn becoming chairperson of MGEI.

Congratulations to Rosalyn Wullandhary on taking over the role of chairperson of Indonesian Society of Economic Geologist (MGEI), and much thanks for STJ Budi Santoso for his past super performance in this role over the preceding 4 years. With this new leadership comes a new motto of “empowering, synergize, and consolidate for sustainable mining”. Rosalyn has assembled a team of about 100 volunteers to support the societies activities.

Rosalyn becomes the first chairwoman elected to this role with the MGEI shared goal to advance the fields of economic geology and promote sustainable mining practices. The work program for the 2024 – 2027 term is both bold and forward looking, with key areas to include enhancing professional development, promoting research and innovation, strengthening industry partnerships, advocating for sustainable practices and enhancing the next generation.

In addition to these key areas, MGEI will also focus on enhancing its communication and outreach efforts. By leveraging digital platforms and social media, MGEI can reach a wider audience and engage with its members more effectively. MGEI will also work towards increasing its visibility and influence in the global economic geology community, positioning MGEI as a leading voice in the industry.
