Congratulations to Mechanical Engineering Apprentice Will Huggins

We are pleased to announce that one of our Mechanical Engineering Team , Will Huggins, has completed his apprenticeship with Engineered Performance Coatings (EPC).

Will joined EPC in July 2019 as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice. Over a 3 year period, Will has achieved the NVQ Level 2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations and also the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

His academic qualifications were gained through day release at Coleg y Cymoedd. The remainder of his education being carried out onsite as part of the EPC Engineering team, under the stewardship of EPC's Technical Director, Rafal Tomaszek.

Will is now serving his advanced training as an Applications Engineer at our Cardiff site and plays a vital role within the Engineering Department. In light of his success to date and the value he brings to the business, EPC are also sponsoring him to attend the University of South Wales, where he is studying for the BTEC Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.

He has developed his skills, both academically and vocationally in his own methodical and disciplined way. His positive attitude and demonstrable knowledge have given the Management team the confidence to allow him to act as a Full-time Applications Engineer during his advanced training. I hope Will has a long career with EPC, helping us to continue offering innovative, best-in-class solutions in the Thermal Spraying Sector".
