Celebrate NBA Finals Championship during Final Seconds

Steve Kerr’s passion for others, his love for the game and his persistence to “NEVER GIVE UP” has always been his greatest victories. 

I had the honor of working with both Steve Kerr and Pam Valvano, wife of Jim Valvano, back in 1994, when they made a personal appearance for my company Stonehenge Ltd, to help raise funds and awareness for the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation. A portion of the proceeds were raised from our Jimmy V Ties, that were designed from sports celebrities doodles and recreated into each pattern. The ties quickly became an inspiration of hope for all to honor Jimmy’s dream to Never Give up with ones problems.  

Steve’s design of a basketball Rim, was made into a beautiful tie, along with other great sports celebrities such as Dick Vitale, Coach K, Chris Berman, Jerry Rice, Bobby Orr and Joe Theisman. This tie signing event took place at Marshall Fields in Chicago where hundreds of fans and admirers of both Steve Kerr and the V Foundation, came out to purchase a tie. 

Many waiting in line had shared their own personal stories about their family and friends that lost the battle over cancer, or still struggling with it. Steve and Pam were extremely kind and very passionate with everyones personal stories they shared with them both. 

I still recall when three young sisters who recently lost their mother to cancer, waited in line to get over 27 ties signed by both Steve and Pam for each one of their family members. As many of you know and certainly the ones who follows sports will remember, Jimmy Valvano’s Famous “Don’t Give Up..Don’t Ever Give Up” speech was delivered at the1993 ESPY Awards.

Jim never gave up on his dreams. His final triumph came towards the end of his glorious life when he announced the formation of The V Foundation for Cancer Research at the 1993 ESPY Awards, founded by ESPN and Jim Valvano. The V Foundation was established to carry out Jim’s final dream—to defeat cancer.

When Jim took the stage during the ESPY Awards at Madison Square Garden, he delivered one of the most iconic speeches in sports history. Today, millions throughout the world remember this famous speech and his everlasting words of, "Don't Give Up, Don't Ever Give Up. Stonehenge Ltd, was extremely proud to have raised well over one million dollars from a portion of the proceeds of these Jimmy V ties which was presented at the Pre- ESPY Awards party to help support the V Foundation.

I’m extremely proud to announce, I will once again be working closely with The V Foundation, NMG Brands and many celebrities that support the V Foundation to help recreate this new mens, ladies and children’s lifestyle brand to raise funds for cancer research. This new brand will soon bring back the much badly needed excitement within our retail industry.
