Congratulations, Duke's Coursera - Courses! C
Let's Join the Celebration with Duke's Coursera Courses for Their 10 Million Enrollments!
A couple of weeks ago, I received an invitation from Duke University to share my learning experience from the "Introduction to Machine Learning" course, that I completed a few months ago.
Receiving this invitation is a privilege for me because Duke University, a prestigious American university based in North Carolina, was founded in 1838. This special occasion commemorates a significant milestone of 10 million enrollments in its global distance learning initiative in partnership with Coursera.
About this Course
This course is designed to provide students with the fundamentals of machine learning models, including logistic regression, multilayer perceptrons, convolutional neural networks, natural language processing, and more.
The course teaches how these models can solve complex problems across various industries. It is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in implementing these data science models on real datasets through practical exercises.
These exercises will teach you how to implement machine learning algorithms using PyTorch, an open-source library implemented by top tech companies like Google, NVIDIA, Coca-Cola, eBay, Snapchat, Uber, and many others
Content Modules
This course consists of 4 modules:
This module introduces fundamental machine learning concepts, including logistic regression, a widely used ML method, and more.
The second module covers the mathematics behind deep learning and practical applications of stochastic gradient descent in training deep networks.
This unit covers model training, as well as transfer learning and fine-tuning.
领英推荐
This week will cover the application of neural networks to natural language processing (NLP), from simple neural models to the more complex.
Modules are required to complete video lectures, reading materials, and multiple quizzes. The course is at an intermediate level, and completing the entire course typically takes approximately 12 hours, covering over 3 weeks with an estimated workload of 4 hours per week.
How has a Duke Coursera course impacted my life?
I decided to enroll in this course with the main purpose of updating and reskilling my career, taking advantage of the distance learning style offered by Duke's Coursera.
Taking this course reinforced the basic and most important principles of Machine Learning and provided me with a solid foundation to learn and develop new tools developed by AI. In addition, this course opened doors for me to work on real-world projects with big tech companies, receive invitations to write blogs, contribute to LinkedIn Collaborative Articles, and collaborate in studies with the most prestigious universities in North America and Europe.
Thanks to this course, it was not necessary to invest a lot of time and spend thousands of dollars on a traditional institution. The learning path is well-developed, straightforward, affordable, and includes only the necessary material to learn the foundations of Machine Learning.
