CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2024

Congratulations to the fresh graduates from Karatina University class of 2024! Seeing your achievement reminds me of my journey in 2021. After earning my BSc in Food Science and Nutrition, the path seemed set. But in reality, I was about to step into the unknown, moving into corporate communications and tech—a leap of faith that, thanks to God's guidance, brought me to where I am today.

To you, the new graduates, many of you have probably heard plenty of advice. Some of you may dive straight into a Master’s degree, which is fine. Others will face the tough reality of a job market asking for experience yet unwilling to provide the opportunity to gain it.

Here’s the hard truth: the world out there doesn’t owe you anything for what you studied. Success often means going beyond the textbook and adapting to the demands of the real world. You may have a degree in one field, but your greatest asset will be in reinventing yourself. I could offer nutrition plans and food security solutions, but my clients and organizations need my skills in IT and tech. No matter how polished my degree looks, it’s my skill set that pays the bills.

So, What skill can you build today that the world will value tomorrow? If your current audience doesn’t value what you offer, then it’s time to either change your offering or find an audience that does.

Comrade, hustle like a dropout. Your certificates are only as good as the results they help you achieve.
