Dawn of toddling winter in Dehradun, a cup of steaming hot coffee, cosy bedroom and spreading under warm colt in front of television telecasting different programmes creates a perfect setting to throw away the ghost of invisible Economics and Practices of Management, tedious and complicated web of Financial System and World and its implications and impacts on us and legal jargons and interpretation of Law and Rules. Welcoming night with twinkling stars and gentle gush of cold ??breeze outside seem to be a saga of everyday mechanical chorus and life devoid of enchanting moments.
It is sweet moment to cherish when I stumble upon to watch a programme on Republic TV. My monotonous moments get punctured by the programme telecast live on Republic TV entitled “Sahitya,Sur Aur Shakti”, indeed a refreshing and extremely engrossing one to watch two stalwarts of theatre, drama, film and music, the Bhojpuri singing Maestro Sri Manoj Tiwari and Bundelkhandi Singer and Actor Sri? Raghubir Yadav ji of “Mahangai Dayan Marat Jat Hai” fame unveiling the intricacies of Suras, Layas and Tala of Bhartiya Folk Music.
What makes me amazed is the presence of young audience in the programme. The youths of today are more familiar with the creation of reels, videos and music numbers spreading more of noise and less of melody grace the occasion on Folk Music. Whether the young people imbibe the nuances of Sur, Tala and Laya of Folk Music are debatable question but their presence, focus and concentration to listen to the Guests augurs well for the cultural tradition of Bharat.
