Conflict Mastery - Online Membership Site

Two recent headlines, seemingly contradictory yet addressing the same underlying issue, caught my eye.

The first,"We need to embrace more conflict at work" by renowned author William Ury, co-author of the negotiation classic "Getting to Yes".

?In contrast, an article by SHRM's CHRO, Jim Link, warned, "The harm workers suffer from incivility should be a wake-up call for employers."

?However, these statements are not truly at odds. Though a more fitting headline for our current world is "Conflict Happens! Master It!"

Incivility is simply a conflict mishandled in a harmful way. Ury's call for more conflict speaks to the need for people to voice their disagreements productively to bring forth the best ideas.
