To Our Clients and Friends:
Please be advised that today, September 30th, 2024, the Mexican government published and enacted a reform to the Mexican Federal Labor Law (MFLL), which changes the official holiday from December 1st to October 1st. This change aligns with the transfer of the Federal Executive Power.
As previously communicated, this reform amends Section VII of article 74 of the Mexican Federal Labor Law, designating October 1, every six years, as a mandatory rest day to mark the transfer of the Mexican Presential/Federal Executive Power.
For further details, you can review the reform at the following link (only available in Spanish): https://dof.gob.mx/nota_detalle.php?codigo=5739950&fecha=30/09/2024#gsc.tab=0
