Confidently taking small, cautious steps into the New Normal
Martin Jack
My personal goal is to ensure that every attendee at an event I have organised should feel it has been developed just for them.
With my Think Different Events Ltd. hat on this Friday, and the organisation time required beforehand of course, we'll be working with the The Business Journey Partners to host the 5th online event which begins to move away from the challenges all businesses have faced over the past few months.
Confidence is key. Yet we all understand the need to be cautious as we take the first steps into what many are calling the 'New Normal' On this basis, what should we be asking ourselves as business decision makers.
The Business Journey Partners have their own ideas which are expressed below:
- “What actions do I need to take now, to be able to plan and make decisions with confidence, to succeed in this recession impacted new trading environment?”
- “How has the current climate affected the way I need to do business going forward? Sticking to what was successful before is not an option”
- “What has changed for me? What am I going to do differently as I /We emerge slowly from this crisis and how am I going to do it? Do my current plans support that change?”
- “How long after opening again will it be before people start paying for my services and what do I need to fund as a result of that timing gap”
- "Think about the transition out of lock down as a series of small adjustments rather than a "reverting back" or a "launch into something new". Slow down....take your time....allow yourself and your business to adjust"
- “Want to know what your clients will need from you next? ASK THEM!! Check in with a few businesses close to you – If you want a great answer to what to focus on with your business go and ask some great questions”
Serious questions to ask yourself and your colleagues, at a fairly serious point in our business lives.
Over the four previous online Q&A sessions, I have picked up a great deal of useful information and guidance to keep the company afloat now and into the future, and I'm sure Friday's event will again prove useful.
Join myself and others via the link below from 10:30-11:30 and, if you have any questions, drop me a message.

Take care. Stay safe and let us all work together again in the near future in the 'New Normal' world we'll be living in.
