Confidence is a funny thing. ?Too little, and you'll never get anywhere. ??Too much, and you come across as arrogant or too good to be true.

“It's a fine balance, but you do need some confidence to succeed,” says Graphic Designer & Branding Strategist DANIEL J MOORE. “Because if you are confident in your brand - who you are and what you're selling - that makes your audience more confident that you can deliver. Which makes it more likely they'll buy from you.”

So, here are some tips from Daniel on how to build more confidence in your brand:

“Remember, your potential clients are coming to you because they need an expert,” Daniel says.? “So, be prepared to show them one! ?If you're falsely modest or scared of showing confidence, your prospect will lose their confidence in you and go elsewhere!”

LOUISE MINCHIN is famous for her 20-year stint presenting BBC Breakfast from the famous red sofa, but she has also been the main news anchor on the BBC News Channel and the BBC's One O'clock News -?and presented The One Show, Five Live Drive, Real Rescues and Missing Live.

Louise's television career has also seen her participate in a number of reality TV shows including ITV's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Channel 4's Time Crashers and the BBC's Celebrity MasterChef.

Louise has written two non-fiction books 'Dare to Tri' and 'Fearless, Adventures with Extraordinary Women' (which won The People’s Book Prize 2024). ?

Her first fiction book?‘Isolation Island’ will be released on the 12th of September?this year.

6th HORSHAM FILM FESTIVAL - Tuesday 27th?- Friday 30th August

Submissions for the Horsham Short Film Festival closed this week, and finalists will be notified at the end of this month, on the 31st.? ?The festival itself will be held at the Everyman Cinema in Horsham at the end of August.?

There’ll be a programme of screenings of shortlisted films during the festival, which will culminate in the Awards Night on the Friday evening.? Keep an eye out for more details HERE.

We won’t be holding our usual monthly zoom networking event in August because of the school summer holiday in the UK. ??We’ve also changed our monthly events to the third Friday of every month, as that is more convenient for most of our members and guests.?

SALMA ZAMAN is on a mission!

SALMA ZAMAN is not just a Bollywood Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher, but she’s also a Children’s Author – and is passionate about getting children reading.??

However, many children don't have access to books - either because their local library has shut down, or because they cannot afford to buy books of their own.? (Just think about that the next time you nip onto Amazon to buy something quickly!)

Salma, however is on a mission to help change that, and has created a fundraiser through her dance school SALMA’S BOLLYWOOD ACADEMY. ??

"Imagine a world where every child has access to the magical world of books, where stories can ignite their imaginations, expand their horizons, and foster a lifelong love for reading,” says Salma.?

“Unfortunately, many children in our communities, particularly those in deprived areas, cannot afford this simple yet profound pleasure. We need your help to change this."

￡10 can provide a child with a new book, ￡50 can supply a small classroom with a variety of essential reading books, and ￡100 can supply a small school with inclusive books aimed at children with SEND needs.

“Together, we can create a brighter future for the most vulnerable children in our communities. Your support can make a lasting impact, one book at a time,” says Salma.?
