Hello you,
Let’s be honest—have you ever been mid-meeting, about to share your brilliant idea, and suddenly thought, “Who am I to say this? Everyone else here is miles ahead of me.”? If so, welcome to the Imposter Syndrome club. We’ve all been there, doubting ourselves when we’re more than qualified to shine.
Here’s the truth: Imposter Syndrome is a master of disguise. It sneaks in, plants seeds of doubt, and leaves you questioning your worth. But here’s the rebellious twist—you don’t have to believe it.
I’ll let you in on a story. A few years ago, I was invited to speak at a high-profile event. The kind of thing that looks amazing on paper but makes your palms sweat in real life. The night before, I was gripped by self-doubt. What if they realise I don’t belong on that stage?
But then I remembered: confidence isn’t about banishing fear; it’s about showing up anyway. So, I prepared like my life depended on it, held my head high, and walked onto that stage. And you know what? Not only did I belong there—I thrived.
So, how can you start tackling self-doubt and owning your brilliance? Here are my five go-to strategies:
1. Call Out the Lies
When that inner voice starts muttering, “You’re not good enough,” pause and ask yourself: Where’s the evidence?Chances are, it’s just Imposter Syndrome pulling its usual tricks.
2. Build a Confidence Bank
Create a folder of wins—emails praising your work, project successes, or moments you’re proud of. On shaky days, revisit it and remind yourself of what you’ve already achieved. It’s like giving your confidence a cash injection.

3. Reframe the Fear
Instead of “What if I fail?” try “What if this is the breakthrough I’ve been waiting for?” Fear and growth go hand in hand—lean into the opportunity it presents.
4. Fake It with Purpose
Confidence doesn’t mean never feeling doubt; it means not letting doubt hold you back. So, stand tall, smile, and act as though you’ve got it together. You’ll be surprised at how quickly it feels real.
5. Arm Yourself with the Right Tools
Here’s the part where I shamelessly mention my online course designed to help ambitious women tackle Imposter Syndrome head-on. It’s filled with practical steps to quiet self-doubt and embrace your capabilities—because there’s no time to waste on second-guessing when you’ve got goals to achieve.
This week, I challenge you to take one bold step outside your comfort zone. Whether it’s speaking up in a meeting, sharing an idea, or starting something you’ve been putting off, do it with intention and watch how empowering it feels.
What’s your next bold move? Share it in the comments—I’d love to celebrate with you.
Until next week, keep rising, keep rebelling, and keep showing Imposter Syndrome who’s in charge.
