???????????????????????????????It’s Time for Change ?

?

Nothing?is as powerful as an?idea whose time has come.?There?is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an?idea whose time has come. -Victor Hugo

Introduction

Choose Day Greetings are in order, my leader. May this be the week your miracle catches up with your destiny? May this be the week, the prayers you have forgotten are remembered before the throne room of our Heavenly Father.I honor and salute the leader in you. I trust you had a great and purposeful weekend and that you are raring to go.

Nothing happens by coincidence

The majority of leaders will agree with me that improvement is always inspirational in life. It surely gives a measure of satisfaction and to a large extent impact on one’s performance. Without improvement, lives will remain stagnant and failure will be the order of the day. We are authors of our destiny and as such should take ownership of our results. Nothing happens by coincidence, if you feel fat check your food choices. If you feel broke check your buying patterns. The courage to investigate the cause is key to our success. This is why we should not shy away from change at any given opportunity because change is the mother of all transformation. We can all do this with a little improvement.

Change is absolutely necessary

Sadly, things do not just improve on their own. The law of causation will tell you that for something to happen someone or something has to initiate or trigger it. This is why we should love change because unless we change the formula we will always have the same results or predictable outcomes. Change is not easy and it is painful. It takes away certain comforts but brings the real deal in life to life. It blows away the trash and garbage of our lives. But let us get this straight, it is absolutely necessary. We need change if we are to realize our optimum levels of performance.

Great leaders paid a great price for challenge

Change is not a friend to many people primarily because they lack a big-picture mentality. Change is critically important and can cause serious repercussions on your life. Jesus Christ paid with his life as he was changing the old religious order and, in the process, introducing a radically new one. The High Priests sanctioned his execution because he was advocating for a change of religious norms. We may be quick to blame them but the truth is that no man will watch another man's temper with his bread and do nothing about it. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr also paid with his life as he advocated for equality among all races in America. Obama benefited greatly from the initiatives of both men, in the process making history as the first man of color to run the United States of America. Both men can be celebrated for being awesome agents of change. But I can assure you that none among us is willing to pay the price they paid.

The Cost of Resistance to Change

We also have those in the corporate fraternity who failed the change test like Henry Ford who refused to construct a vehicle whose color was not black. His sales plummeted to an all-time low. By the time he saw the light other giants were already ahead of the pack. Enzo Ferrari also paid the price for being arrogant toward change. He criticized a leading customer, Ferruccio Lamborghini for being unable to drive properly a Ferrari car since he was a farmer. The result saw the customer engineer the now famous Lamborghini cars. That is what happens when you criticize change instead of embracing it.

Coca-Cola is still the Boss

Maybe let us talk about the greatest agent of Change in the marketplace, Coca-Cola Beverages, their staying power is amazing because of their commitment to managing change. Change is no longer a luxury in the business fraternity, it is the new normal. Business is moving at the speed of light these days so it is important to position your organization accordingly. With that in mind, it is important to keep your mind in the change mode. Without change, nothing changes. You are the change the world is waiting for. Come out of the shadows and show the goodness you are made of. If Coca-Cola did it, there is hope for you and your organization. The best time to advocate and pursue change is now. According to the Dalai Lama, Yesterday is forever gone, Today is all you got, and Tomorrow is not guaranteed. There is something you can change today so as to change your future outcomes. Remember today is a product of yesterday.

Some ?benefits of change

Change has amazing benefits, which sadly I will not list here but I have selected a few key ones which may inspire you and your organization to pursue change.

1. Change is useful to you because it refreshes your perspective

2. Change helps us break past old barriers and enter new paradigms.

3. It helps us unlock hidden potential

4. It creates a new sense of urgency in our systems and processes

5. Change helps us outsmart the competition

6. It helps us scale new frontiers and dizzy heights which were unrealistic in times past.

7. It enables every team member to be a contributor

8. Change optimizes our operational efficiencies and by extension profitability

Conclusive Remarks

Jesus Christ is the ultimate leader and the number one Agent of Change. You do well to reflect on your life and leadership so as to change for the better. Change is something that you have to anticipate and initiate. It is something that you have to cast to your team members. It is something that you have to sell to them day and night, and night and day. Change is more useful through logical persuasion and not legal authority. The legal authority will get you somewhere, but leadership influence will get you the desired results.

May the leader in you rise to conquer. The next Level is reality. Let us live, love, and make a difference. History is waiting to judge us.
