Confessions of Freelancers: What we wish we were told before taking the plunge + ?? New Freelance Projects ??
If I could write a list of all the things that are suppose to happen when you become a freelancer it would go a little like this...
?? You can work from the beach, park, trendy cafe, 'insert any location in the world' whenever you want, from day one, with no experience, no funding etc, etc
?? You can make ￡10K months from the get go, especially if you take my course telling you how to do it.
? Goodbye 9to5! Yes you really can wave goodbye to stuffy office hours and make shed loads of money working 5hrs a day.
?? Freelancing is super easy and you'll easily win clients
Honestly, this list could be longer, but who has time to read it?! As a seasoned freelancer, I for one know that although all of this is possible, it's not all that common, it's actually very rare.
So, to be realistic I asked you, fellow Freelancers, what thing or things you wish someone had told you would happen when you started your freelancing journey ????
?? Sometimes you have to take the project with the less than desirable hourly rate just to make rent that month - Heather Scott
?? Major breaks between clients - there are months/years where you'll have work coming out of your ears, and others with barely anything going. ?? Dynamitri Joachim Nawrot
