Conference Presentation: "Mediating the Spatiality of Conflicts"
I am excited to share that I presented a paper titled “She is Beirut” in the conference Mediating the Spatiality of Conflicts in the “Mediated Activism” panel! I was delighted to have a platform to connect my research on Jocelyne Saab’s film “Once Upon a Time, Beirut” to the ongoing protests in Beirut!
I would like to thank the conference organizers for these exciting past few days where I met wonderful colleagues and reconnected with old ones! Thank you Hares Bassil and Maha Abou Chacra from the “Centre du Patrimoine Cinématographique” at The Lebanese Ministry of Culture for your constant support in the past 3 years! Thanks to Professor Ezra Glenn for the exciting urban studies “City in Film” where this project was first initiated. Finally, MIT Department of Architecture for the Avalon Travel Grant :)
