My Client… deliver outstanding live and online experiences working with clients across chosen sectors, an international business with ambitious plans to launch a new team & portfolio across the ever-growing Sustainability sector.
The Role… Through exciting expansion, the client is looking to build a new team to create original event portfolios to connect business communities around the whole Energy space including Sustainability, Low Carbon, Climate Change, Transport, Buildings & Real Estate. Key role to the business venture will be the Portfolio Director who will initiate, build and develop a series of related events that will grow into recognised brands over the next 3 years
The Candidate must
- See the opportunity as a way they can launch their own series in a sector where they have both deep experience and a passion
-See the opportunity in a sector in which growth is inevitable in the context of a global trend and in which technology will be a key enabler
- enjoy both the strategic side of spotting market opportunities and the practical side of creating and delivering outstanding products
- See the product as more than the programme
- Enjoy both working within a team whilst having significant autonomy to operate
- Be inherently action oriented, creative in finding solutions, open to input and personal growth and committed to doing the hard work to consistently improve.
- Be a clear, outcome focused communicator be happiest developing creative and valuable platforms
- Be comfortable reporting on progress with intelligent analysis
- Be able to lead a team through giving direction and support as needed
Key Skills Required
- Successfully launched events in both live and online formats
- Engaging with and securing support from senior market participants
- Identifying and attracting both rarely seen and internationally renowned speakers
- Partnership and relationship building
- Experience of multiple event formats
- Working closely with, and giving tools and support to sales and marketing peers
- Researching to identify the content, formats and contributors who will add greatest value
- Presenting business plans
- Competent with multiple event related technologies
- Fluent English speaker. Other languages an advantage
Experience Required
- Evidence of a successful track record in physical and online event production
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a single market sector including evidence of strong relationships with key players across the industry (Energy sector preferred)
