The Art of Modern Manufacturing exhibit

As Manufacturing Month comes to a close, we are happy to announce that our art exhibit, The Art of Modern Manufacturing: Views through a different lens,” will continue to be available on our website here . This exhibit, created to honor the outsized role manufacturing plays in the Hoosier state, was housed in the AMP at 16 Tech through the month of October.

The exhibit of 16 images is accompanied by an audio tour, featuring insights from Indiana-based photographer Michael Durr who captured the images, as well as author Sandra Cline, who wrote case studies on each company. The experience is hosted by our own Director of Innovation and Digital Transformation, Ryan Henderson, who discussed how people and advanced technology work in harmony to increase productivity.

Manufacturing Day 2023: Conexus team members hit the road

Manufacturing Day events have been in full swing around the state and will continue throughout October. We are thankful that so many companies have opened their doors to their communities and even more appreciative that they have welcomed us tagging along. Our team members have provided support – through presentations, networking with community members and setting up booths – and we look forward to attending more events in the next few weeks.

Check out some of the social media posts about the early October events and then check out our map to view upcoming events.

“Having these two in these kinds of roles proves that we’re not the same old company we used to be.”

Even though Indiana Furniture is over 100 years old, it refuses to act its age. Like other manufacturers across the state, Indiana Furniture is looking for talent. To gain an advantage, the company has made a concerted effort to diversify its staff and bring young people, particularly young women, onto the shop floor through post-secondary programs and internships.

Learn more about Indiana Furniture and what led them to find Taylor Henry and Vivian Galey, who have proven to be great fits for the operation here .
