No Condemnation // John 3:17

Today’s verse is filled with so much hope. It comes on the heels of John 3:16 which states that God loved the world so much He sent Jesus, His one and only Son. Jesus went on to say that the purpose of His mission was salvation, not condemnation. Unfortunately, “the world” (used as a metaphor for the devil’s dominion) has convinced people of faith — and people who are not of faith, alike — that Christianity is all about condemnation. It isn’t. At all! Rather, the life of faith in Christ is all about how to live wholly for God and the people He gives us to do life with. Romans 8:1 tells us there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, so this must be the message we share with the world. It’s Jesus, not judgment. Is that the message you’ll share? I pray so!
