Concrete Stipple Finish by Kraftur

Stipple trowel finish or sometimes known as a cove finish is commonly used for outdoor areas and large hardstand pavements exposed to heavy trafficking. The finish is often used as an alternative to a broom finish. The finish can provide harder wearing properties than a broom finish.
A texture is worked into the surface with either a walk behind power troweling machine or a sit on top double header troweling machine. The blades of the trowels are set flat and the trowel creates a swirl type effect on the concrete surface. The texture is courser than a steel trowel finish with a grip that should meet most projects slip resistance requirements. The depth and shape of the swirl finish can be altered by the finishers and like a broom finish the consistency of the finish across large pours may differ due to weather conditions, changing shade patterns and differential setting times of the concrete
