Concrete Institute delivers the heat

As the weather in Perth last night was hot, so was the topic of discussion buzzing the room at The Shoe in Northbridge. The Concrete Institute of Australia - WA Branch put together a top end range of speakers to cover the popular yet always controversial topic of Extreme and Hot Weather Concrete.

With three top class speakers to provide answers for today’s very real hot weather concrete questions, the session was technical yet practical.

Bogdan Dana Technical Specialist from Boral Concrete discussed from a suppliers perspective, Martyn Compton from Compton Services discussed some of the theory and looking at current and future low carbon cements and their impact. Francois Labuschagne from Ertech and Amanda Ryan from Duratec brought us back to the current construction reality.

The night continued as the sun set over a few cold beverages to cool the hot discussions and great networking that the CIA always delivers.

The next CIA event will be on March 19th. This will be another exciting breakfast seminar on Perth Infrastructure which is surely not to be missed. Don't miss out and book now!!!
