Yesterday, I received a special recognition from the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, an office that plays a vital role in shaping U.S defense policy and strategy. I met the Executive Secretariat Director, Dr. Lance Hampton who gave me the opportunity to discuss the art of what was technological possible and what might be sees as future requirement. Most importantly, we were able to align special directives with critical capabilities that have direct and indirect impact to our national security and will help operationalize policy innovation, shake culture, and increase tech bridging into the Pentagon unconventionally.
In partnership with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy DTIP Future Technology Forum was a valuable resource for advancing the national defense strategy. The forum was designed to identify and showcase innovative technology that enhanced and streamlined business processes, brought records management into the 21st century, facilitated coordination, automated production of archival and historical documents, drove knowledge management forward, and supported senior-level decision-making. By highlighting these technological advancements, the forum helped to ensure that the Department of Defense was making use of the most up-to-date and efficient tools, dual-use commercial technologies, and methods available to achieve its mission.
